Apple has released the third developer beta of iOS 7.1 to those registered with the iOS Dev program, several weeks after the prior build. As usual with Apple betas, the focus is on improvements to bugs and other feature enhancements.
Users who are currently running the iOS 7.1 beta 2 build can update to beta 3 using OTA, which weighs around 70MB-140MB depending on the device. Optionally, devs can log in through the iOS developer center to access IPSW files. The new build number for beta 3 is 11d5127c. Developers can also find a new version of Xcode available on the Dev Center.
iOS 7.1 brings several improvements to accessibility, and is also expected to improve the stability and performance of iOS 7 on older hardware. Devices that support iOS 7 will also run iOS 7.1, including Pad Air, iPad 2, iPad 3 ,iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad Mini Retina, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, and the 5th generation iPod touch.
There is no timeline for a public release, but iOS betas typically run through 5-6 developer builds before being pushed out to the wider public.
Those interested in learning more about the developer release can find some additional user provided notes on MacRumors forums.
